The naked body of Laxman, a youth resident of Pareva Kurmiyan in Hafizganj area of Bareilly, was found hanging from a tree outside the village on Thursday morning. He was preparing for competitive examinations while staying in Delhi. A suicide note was found from the spot, in which it was written that I want to take refuge in God, please forgive me. The postmortem report confirmed hanging. But according to his father Chandrapal, the son had called him at night. He was nervous. Said that Papa, I have only five minutes time. He also talked to his siblings.
Chandrapal’s son Laxman (25) was staying in Karol Bagh, Delhi after graduation and preparing for competitive examinations from renowned coaching. Chandrapal spoke to his son several times during the day on Wednesday. He had asked to come home. On Thursday morning the family members were preparing to go to Delhi. Then he got information about his son’s naked body hanging on a tree in a field outside the village. The father denied any kind of rivalry. He said why would anyone commit suicide by being naked. His feet were also touching the ground.
Chandrapal told that on January 30, he got a call from Laxman asking him to deposit some money, he wanted to come home. The father had deposited Rs 1,500 on this. On January 31, Laxman boarded a roadways bus to return home. On Wednesday evening itself, Chandrapal along with his wife Chandrakali had stood on the Pilibhit Highway to receive their son. On phone Laxman told that he has come to Rampur. After this his phone got switched off. The parents kept waiting for their son’s arrival till 8.30 pm. When he did not come, both of them returned home.
